A nice sunny day, surprisingly--as alternate weather had been forecast (along with the lifestyles).
Pridefest certainly knows how to throw a party--we were provided a large plate of cheeses, veggies and dips, along with the usual allotment of rationed alcohol.

The act on stage prior to the UPSIDE was a bit different than your standard warm-up--various line dancing groups from around the country.
This diary entry would be incomplete without some propers being handed down to the proud sponsor of the miller stage that fateful day.............ELBOW GREASE PERSONAL LUBRICANT.
So was the setting. Upside took over the Miller Oasis like nobody's bidness. The crowd, however diverse, was as large as it was CRAZAY. Everybody grooved.

Whatever our resident saxomophonist was doing backstage seemed not to have any bearing on the crowd's acceptance of their being fully groovified.
The act after us was a pretty rocking power trio, complete with full dragged-out, body-builder singer. All in all it was a fun day, and I think we would all do it again given the chance. Until next year, pride has been funk-a-tee-fied. Arrivederci.
