Place: Locust Street Day- Milwaukee WI

I have been to Locust Street many times, and the festival many times. Even so, this was my inaugural performance at the Locust Street Festival. After being frightened by the threat of some looming cumulus clouds in the distance, we composed ourselves and prepared to leave the taste of Upside in the mouths of the many onlookers.

Warming up the OSHA-approved (maybe?) stage was a band who we look forward to playing with in the future—Pipe Circus. I have seen them before, but that was like seven years ago. They have really grown as a unit over time. We’ll see you fellahs at Luther’s.

Speaking of clouds and warming up, by the time we started playing, it was hotter than its been in a long time. Who loves the sun? People partying on Locust Street and listening to Upside, that’s who. Some of the people in the crowd displayed dance styles hitherto unknown in this area.

The Whiskey Waters people are great and, for the record, they make a fine shish kabob.
