Hello,
friends.
For the second year in a row, we were invited to play at the East Troy
Electric Railroad Museum. This time it was for their Chicago Days
Festival. You might remember these guys from all the trains they
let us ride in our "Train to Forever" video. These are
some really great people and they have never been anything but accommodating
and kind to us. The group's director, Jack Franklin, is
one top notch guy and has definitely been a huge UGC supporter.
This year, the weather was definitely on our side - sunny and warm,
and a nice breeze against our backs. We met some new friends,
but unfortunately did not get to ride on any of the trains this time.
If any of you are in or near East Troy, Wisconsin, I certainly
would recommend that you head over to the Train Museum to check out
some of the historical electric trains they have on display and available
for rides.
I have to head over the Wisconsin State Fair now to play a show with
some friends in their Rolling Stones tribute act. Their drummer
has been in the hospital, so I was recruited to play a couple shows
with them, which has been very fun. Should be an interesting evening,
and this will be my fourth show in about 27 hours. I think I just
may break Phish's record yet!
Love (from what's left of me),
Brian
