Hey,
Brian from the Upside here. Tonight's show was great. I considered this show a homecoming of sorts - We got to play back at the Rave (which is one of the most amazing venues to play at), all of our freinds and families were in attendance, we finally had merchandise to offer the public, and last but not least, we got to play a new song we had completed just days before called "Nothing On Me". There was definitely an energy present in our playing tonight that we have been struggling to maintain in our rehearsals, and because of that, I feel we are ready to take this show to the next level. Also got the crowd moving with a "just learned" version of Stevie Wonder's
"Uptight (Everything's Alright)". Other than having to yell at Jim about proper guitar maintainence (those who attended tonight will know what I'm talking about) tonight was a smashing success - I had a blast playing the show, got to hang with GB Leighton (very cool guys, indeed), met a lot of interesting people, and got to chat with some friends I havn't seen in a while.
